Do you have ophthalmologists in the network?

Yes, ophthalmologists are available within the network, though they are fewer compared to optometrists. Ophthalmologists are medical doctors (MDs) who can perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose all types of eye diseases, and provide surgical treatment for ocular conditions. In contrast, optometrists primarily focus on vision care, correction, and the diagnosis of vision changes.

The BCBS FEP Vision program includes coverage for non-medical vision exams. To find an in-network ophthalmologist or MD, please look for “MD” after the doctor’s name using the provider locator: https://bcbsfepvision.com/providers/.
