Focused on You
Whether you’re traveling for work, on vacation or living overseas, your benefits travel with you. BCBS FEP Vision offers coverage for members who live or travel outside of the United States. This includes active and retired federal and USPS employees, retired uniformed service members, their families and the families of active duty service members.
How Your International Coverage Works
While outside of the U.S. and Puerto Rico, coverage works a little differently. After visiting any provider you choose, you’ll pay for care and then submit a claim that we’ll use to reimburse you for covered services.
What We Pay for Common Services
While overseas you’ll pay for services and materials in full. Then we’ll reimburse your costs up to a specific amount.

The bcbsfepvision.com website is not accessible when overseas without using a U.S. VPN. If you’re planning to travel internationally, you can save your benefit information by downloading the 2026 BCBS FEP Vision brochure. Additionally, you can e-mail us at fepmemberhelp@davisvision.com while overseas with any benefit questions.
How to Submit Your International Claims
If you see a vision care provider while abroad (outside the U.S. and Puerto Rico), you must submit your claim.
Submit your out-of-network claim online: Simply use the member portal or mobile app. Access is only available to individuals in the U.S. and U.S. territories and individuals overseas with a U.S. VPN.
Submit your out-of-network claim through email, mail, or fax: For members with a U.S. VPN, get your claim form at our legal page. For members without a U.S. VPN, you can e-mail us at fepmemberhelp@davisvision.com. Once it’s filled out, you can send it to us through one of the following methods:
